MASS Presents... Roska, Akanbi, The Large

Coming from the UK for the first stop of his long awaited return to the US, we are honored to welcome @roskaofficial.

As one of the founding fathers of UK Funky and having worked across House, Dancehall and various mutated strains of bass-heavy club music, Roska has established himself as one of the UK’s most accomplished underground exponents. Roska’s production style has varied over the years, between the stripped back, percussion-driven rollers to more club-influenced vocal creations, all of which will always pack a tremendously recognizable rhythmic punch.

Suze aka The Large is a British DJ based in New York, known for her unique blend of up-to-the-time soundsystem heaters with the weirder edges of club music from around the world. She has a monthly residency with NTS where she is known for her eclectic curations ranging from Afrobeats to Amapiano, Jersey Club to UKG to Jungle. We are constantly blown away by the selections Suze incorporates in her mixes. Her opening set for Yung Singh at Nowadays last October was one of the most exhilarating curations of music that deftly straddles both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.

Rounding off our line-up is someone who hardly needs an introduction to longtime New York music heads. Rave man aka mayor of enjoyment aka co-leader of the iconic groovy groovy series, @frikaan_time will be joining Roska and The Large on the decks on Feb 10th.

Expressing himself from a place of child-like purity and unfiltered passion, Akanbi brings his crowd back to what raving is all about: enjoyment, release, connection, and sweat. Encompassing everything from meditation-inducing to hip-turning, Akanbi’s curations are known to hit strong, burn slow, and never fail to uncover delightful surprises along the way.
